Skunks and Life

I was running early this Monday morning, when smelled a noisome smell drifting into my space. I looked around, wrinkled my nose, and sniffed the malodorous scent. Smelled like skunk. It incited thoughts about tomatoes. That's when I saw an amorphous black and white shape lolled on the side of the road. A skunk. Dead.

I have a quote to share that exemplifies the skunk's misfortunate ending and hopefully helps us understand our own lives more deeply:

"No one can confidently say that he will still be living tomorrow." ~Euripides
